Living Etc. May Issue

Did you know that you can flip through some of the current Living Etc. issue online? Well I didn't until today. It's just enough to get me interested to go out and buy it. With so many home design magazines gone, I always look forward to the new Living Etc. although they don't deliver to US addresses so I have to go to Barns & Noble to purchase it every moth and it is twice as much as an other magazine. Gotta love it though! Here are some pages from the May issue.

Nanette is a lovely fashion designer with a pinktastic Winter 2010 collection. She always as some great pink pieces and dresses. This short full skirt dress is just so lovely!

The Perfect Job

Kate Morris has the perfect job. She is a photographic stylist, set designer and prop buyer in the UK. Her web site is beautiful, so colorful and her rooms are perfection. Love it!

Pink & Orange Party

My Birthday is next week and I'm having a party! Of course my colors include pink. Hot pink and orange. A lovely combination. It starts with the perfect dress, which could be the beautiful one from Phoebe Couture and purchased at Nieman Marcus online.

The perfect party starts with the perfect location. It would be great to have a party here in a naturally pink & orange designed space.

I couldn't think of a better way to start a new week. Get yourself some vodka and juice, sit back and enjoy the rest of the weekend.

In-the-Pink Drink

Ice

6 cups ruby red grapefruit juice

1 Cup pomegranate juice

1 cup ice-cold vodka

Fresh mint sprigs

Fill large pitcher half way with ice. Add 6 cups grapefruit juice, pomegranate juice, vodka, and some fresh mint leaves. Stir to mix. Serve in chilled glasses. Garnish with mint sprig. Makes 8 servings.

Calligaris Alchemia Chair

I'm on the search for the perfect dining room chair thus my second post on chairs this week. This one is fun in transparent Fuchsia. I think it would look stunning along with my brushed metal top dining table.

Paint Your Legs

DIY-Paint the legs on and old wood chair. I love the simplicity of this dining room and the pink legs. I've never been so good at restoring furniture but this seems simple. Living Etc. said use a glossy paint.

Hello Kitty Wine

Hello Kitty just became legal! And if you are of legal drinking age you can enjoy a drink of the pretty kitty. Hello Kitty wine's come in Angel and Devil Pinot's, sparking Brut Rose, and a demi-sec Sweet Pink sparking. The web site said that it will become available to purchase on May 1, 2010. I'll toast to that!
