Wishbone Chair

The Wishbone Chair designed by Hans Wegner in 1949 is being offered for the first time in pink as part of project to raise money for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Twenty world famous interior designers designed cushions for this iconic chair that will be auctioned off in NYC on October 7. You can also purchase the chair in pink for the next year at SUITE New York and 20% of profits go to the Breast Caner Research Foundation. What a wonderful idea! I'm in the market for a new chair. I'll have to check it out when I'm in NYC next month to visit my best friend who just moved. I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot of time there now that she has moved. There are worse places to visit! HAPPY MONDAY!

I'm on the search for the perfect dining room chair thus my second post on chairs this week. This one is fun in transparent Fuchsia. I think it would look stunning along with my brushed metal top dining table.

Paint Your Legs

DIY-Paint the legs on and old wood chair. I love the simplicity of this dining room and the pink legs. I've never been so good at restoring furniture but this seems simple. Living Etc. said use a glossy paint.

TRILLI Bookshelf

Its your humble blogging servant bringing you the best in pink design. I stumbled upon this TRILLI bookshelf by Italian designer Marino Rossato. Purchase yours in white and fuchsia from the online OWO store. I love the playfulness of all the different sizes shelves. Keep some of the shelves open to let the bright fuchsia shine through. This would look amazing in a very modern living room or kids room!

You can find this upholstered chair at Crate & Barrel. Although a little contempory for my taste, I think it would look lovely surrounded by a more modern sofa in a grey tone in a room with white walls. Lovely.

Bench...Pink...Love

I've been away for awhile, so sorry if you've missed me. The fact is I'm not really sure anyone is reading this, but if you are please leave me a message! I would love to hear from you. So going back to being away, I guess I got caught up in life and havent' had much time to think about design or pink...so sad. Ok, I never stop thinking about design. Here is a bench/bookcase that I found and of course I saved the picture and can't rememver where I found it. I will do reseach later and figure it out. I promise. And I promise to post more. :) So I found the site where you can view and purchase this bench/bookcase. "Shelves with a Bench" is from a designer named Stanislav Katz from Latvia.

Designers Guild. Why haven't I seen this web site before??? Wallpaper, pillow, sofa's oh my...I LOVE everything. And have you seen a more stylish paint can? Let the picutres talk for themself.

Plastic Fantastic

Plastic furniture in true baroque style. Wood furniture covered in plastic makes it easy to clean and so colorful. Comes in lots of colors actually but I like the pink.

"Japanese designer Tokujin Yoshioka unveiled the world's most beautiful chairs at this year's Salon Internazionale del Mobile, Milan (16-21 April, 2008). Entitled 'Bouquet', this floral masterpiece was created for Italian brand Moroso, with prototypes created from tissue paper and later manufactured by hand from fabric. The designer himself claims that new chair Bouquet "uplifts the sitter as well..."

Sexy Chair

Wow! Look at these amazing lace chairs. So sexy! I could think of a million interiors that this chair would look great in. I think I'm a lace kick but I do actually love this chair. Looks like it only comes in black and white, but it would look so good in pink!
